The Jungle Book comes to life for the first time in the Kingdom of Bahrain!
Natalia Kasatkina and Vladimir Vasilyov were inspired to create the ballet "Mowgli" by their meeting
with thirteen-year-old Alex Prior, the brilliant great-great-grandson of Konstantin Stanislavsky. Alex
composed his first piece of music at the age of 8, and at 12 became the youngest winner of the British
composers competition - BBC Young Composer of the Year.
In a creative union with the young maestro, Natalia Kasatkina and Vladimir Vasilev created a ballet
based on The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. The dances of Baloo the bear, Akela the wolf, Bagheera
the panther and other beloved Mowgli characters combine classical choreography with plasticity
borrowed from the world of wild animals. The story of a boy who was raised by animals comes to life
against the backdrop of a lush jungle, created on stage using voluminous decorations.
"Mowgli" is a colorful performance for the whole family: children will be interested in watching vivid
characters, and adults will appreciate the choreographic performance and philosophical content of a
familiar story.
