Ladies and gentlemen, patrons of the arts, welcome to Requiem II - Techno Poetry!

Requiem is an utterly unique fusion of Music, Poetry, and Art. The event ambitiously seeks to meld these three rivers of creative expression into one exquisitely mixed masterwork of an evening.

Music, Poetry, and Art.

Look forward to an immersive evening of dark, atmospheric techno of an intricate, complex, evocative variety, music that speaks to the deep and secret spaces in all of us, music that, in line with our overarching themes, is an expression of beauty, and sorrow, and remembrance.

But music is but one dimension, and Requiem seeks to transcend all such boundaries: Words of poetry and literature, the carriers of ideas and emotions, will be carefully chosen and artfully mixed into the music by the stars of the night. The words that have moved them, the words that have molded them, the words that have helped make them who they are, all will be on display, adorning the walls of the venue, and rising out of creative DJ mixes.

And where words go, so too follow images: the three performers will curate the artworks that have moved them over the years, and representations of these selected works will be on display on projectors and on the walls of the venue, allowing guests a rare insight into the minds and hearts of the performers.

Thus the grand ambitions of Requiem: To take music, and the written word, to take art and sculpture and poetry, to take all of these, and to create from them an experience like no other.
